What your FD actually earns
Five calculation modes on one engine — cumulative growth, monthly payout, goal sizing, laddering and loan-against-FD. Every mode shows the post-tax and inflation-adjusted figure beside the headline number, because the headline rate is rarely the one you keep.
Worth is independent and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, Bank of India. Rates are taken from Bank of India's official rate card (Not shown on the bank's page), checked on 14 October 2026.

The essentials
Bank of India FD returns: monthly interest, senior citizen rates and comparison
Monthly interest on a Bank of India FD
With a monthly payout Bank of India FD at the 1-year rate of 6.25%, interest is about ₹521 a month on ₹1 lakh, ₹2,604 on ₹5 lakh and ₹5,208 on ₹10 lakh, before tax. Banks usually pay monthly interest at a slightly discounted rate, so treat these as close estimates. Switch the calculator to Monthly income mode to see the post-tax figure. Payout deposits earn less in total than cumulative ones, because the interest is paid out instead of compounding.
Bank of India FD for senior citizens

Tick "Senior citizen" in the calculator and it loads the senior rate for the tenure you pick. For example, ₹10 lakh for 5 years at 6.75% grows to about ₹13.97 lakh. Senior citizens under the old tax regime can also claim the 80TTB deduction on up to ₹50,000 of interest a year, and can submit Form 15H to avoid TDS if their total income is below the taxable limit.
